Louis A. Desenberg is a native of Buchanan and graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1966. In 1970 he received his law degree from Valparaiso University and joined his father, B.R. Desenberg, as Desenberg & Desenberg (was formed June 1, 1970 and was succeeded by Desenberg & Desenberg, P.C. on April 1, 1972). Mr. Desenberg has been active in the Buchanan Lions Club (President-1973), the Michigan Gateway Foundation (President 1978-1980, 1993-present), the Berrien County Intermediate School Board (1973-1981, 1987-1993), the Board of Directors of Shoreline Bank (formerly Inter-City Bank) (1979-1994), the Board of Directors of Shoreline Financial Corporation (1987-present) and a member of the Berrien County, State of Michigan and American Bar Associations. John R. Colip is a native of Buchanan and a 1972 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. He obtained his law degree in 1975 from Valparaiso University. Mr. Colip served four years with the Judge Advocate Generals Office of the United States Air Force, with the rank of Captain. Mr. Colip joined the firm in 1980. He is active in the Buchanan Lions Club (President 1983-1984), the Lakeland Health Foundation Board, the Berrien Association of Mediators, the Berrien County Bar Association (Treasurer, 1984-1985), Buchanan Community Schools Board of Education Trustee (1994-present), Southwestern Michigan Estate Planning Council (President 1996-97) and a member of the Berrien County State of Michigan and American Bar Associations.
